As of Tuesday, Oct. 31, Asia-Pacific stocks have mostly seen an increase, although the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong experienced a decline of 1.7% at 17,112.48. On the other hand, Japan's Nikkei 225 Index gained 0.5% to reach 30,858.85.

In China, the Shanghai Composite Index weakened by 0.1% to stand at 3,018.77. However, Singapore saw an improvement in its stocks with the FTSE Straits Times Index increasing by 0.2% to reach 3,069.23. South Korea's KOSPI Composite Index dropped by 1.4% to settle at 2,277.99, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Benchmark Index gained 0.1% to reach 6,780.70.

Among the constituents of the Hang Seng Index, ENN Energy Holdings saw the largest increase with shares rising by 2.1%. Similarly, pharmaceuticals firm CSPC Pharmaceutical Group and renewable energy generation company China Resources Power experienced gains of 1.9% and 1.2%, respectively.

However, the optical instruments company Sunny Optical Technology witnessed a significant drop of 5.4% in Hong Kong. Additionally, shares of computers/consumer electronics firm Lenovo Group and renewable energy equipment company Xinyi Solar Holdings declined by 5.3% and 5.2%, respectively.

Turning to the Nikkei 225 Index constituents, Nippon Electric Glass, a passive components company, experienced the largest increase on Tuesday with shares soaring by 10.2%. Likewise, food products firm Nisshin Seifun Group and pharmaceuticals company Sumitomo Pharma saw gains of 7.8% and 7.5%, respectively.

On the other hand, personal electronics company Panasonic Holdings witnessed the largest drop in Japan with shares falling by 8.9%. Similarly, semiconductors firm Renesas Electronics and marine transport company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines saw declines of 6.0% and 5.8%, respectively.
